ROBIN DARRELL
ABOUT ME
Robin Darrell is a British biologist and has spent most of his life involved with science education, teaching biology and science in London comprehensives before moving to International schools in Spain and Saudi Arabia. As a keen naturalist and bird watcher he has explored many parts of the world, thanks partly to generous school vacations and an understanding wife.
During his travels, he has observed many cultures, each with their respective struggles. He noticed that most people want the same thing, to be able to get on with their lives peacefully and strive for happiness where ever they can. The problem seems to be with leaders and those wanting power, these are the individuals who are responsible for causing strife in the world. It caused him to reflect upon us as a species and where it all went wrong. This encouraged him to write his first novel, The Happenstance, which explores a mistake which occurred 40,000 years ago, the results of which are coming to a climax now.
Robin is married with two children and now spends his time between writing and exploring his local area of the Lake District following his passion for bird watching and natural history. Whenever possible he gets over to Spain where he is renovating an old Finca which he bought 20 years ago, and still has not finished.
